Testing the Great Breitling Avenger Chronograph 45 Night Mission
Really hot! That’s the kind of welcome you get when you show up wearing the Breitling Avenger Chronograph 45 Night Mission. This chronograph is one of 14 models to be launched in autumn 2019 as a rejuvenated and streamlined Avenger collection, including the four replica watches that replace the previous Colt collection. 
So much enthusiasm for our test watch! This is no doubt due to its sporty, striking design, its army green dial and strap, and its dark-coated case, which gives the watch its “Night Mission” name. Everything about it exudes strength and robustness: the wide stepped bezel, the sturdy circular chronograph pushers, the large screw-down crown with crown protector, the striking hour-markers, and the calfskin strap with industrial embossing.
The site itself is not the decisive factor in impressing – despite the watch’s width of 45 mm and height of 16.5 mm, neither size is too pronounced, and surprisingly, it remains comfortable to wear. Thanks to its smooth base, soft leather strap, and flat clasp, the best watch sits snugly on the wrist. Of course, the lightweight of 120 grams plays a role, owing to Breitling’s use of titanium.
The brushed finish on the case is in keeping with the replica watch‘s overall military design. There is only one small drawback: despite the brushed finish, it is still possible to see fingerprints here and there, and they are more difficult to wipe off the stepped bezel than on the simpler case design.
The luminous dots on the numerals, hands, and unidirectional rotating bezel glow at night, thus ensuring readability for many hours. It is as easy to read the time in daylight as it is at night – at least roughly, since the minute track on the edge of the dial is very fine and does not contrast greatly with the dark khaki green background. The dark gray chronograph hands also lack contrast, so readability is somewhat reduced here as well.
Overall, the finishing is very good and designed for functionality. With water resistance up to 300 meters, as well as a unidirectional bezel and luminous dots, this pilot’s watch can also be used as a dive fake watch. All in all, this test confirms our first impressions. Breitling replica has created a robust sports watch for everyday wear, whose design complements its function. The design, finish, comfort, and ease of use of this new watch are particularly satisfying, the only real drawback being the difficulty of reading elapsed time.
